Mazda Repair: center console light out, light bulbs, luck chris

I have a 2000 626, V-6, and the light on the automatic console shifter does not illuminate. I have changed the fuse, but I still have the problem.

Hi Jose thanks for asking.
Usualy if you have a problem with the fuse for that circuit the dash lights and the lights on the radio would not work either. But light bulbs do burn out, and that is more than likely your problem. The center counsel covers have to be removed and there is a light bulb directly underneith the shifter indicaor lens. I would let a mazda deal with these because i have seen many people break the clips holding the indicator in. That way if they break it they are responsible.
