Mitsubishi Repair: replacement motor, bell housing, elipse

sorry an Eclipse question,, do you know if you can replace with any dodge or GM or Ford motor?

To be honest with you no you can't because of the setup with the elipse since they have the transmission made going sideways and it also won't fit going into the firewall connecting with a american motor and a import transmission.I've tried it and failed even tried using a bell housing adapter to line up the transmission they are just made different unless you replace the transmission as well and modify the firewall too.
