Motorcycle Repair: 1965 CA95 USA model, chain tension, outer diameter

Question
What are the specs for the following:

A. Piston to cylinder clearance.

B. What is the standard bore and the wear limit required to bore to oversize?

C. What is the repair limit for the outer diameter of the valve stems?

D. What is the proper procedure for setting the cam chain tension?

Thanks!

Answer
A. .0012" minimum/// break in gently if you set it up this tight, though. .002" would be a little better for it.

B. 49mm, with .25, .50,.75 and 1.00mm overbore pistons available.

C. Valve stem clearance is .0004-.0012 intake and .0008-.0016" exhaust. As I recall the stems should be 5.5mm

D. Turn the engine using rotor on end of crankshaft to rotate crank slightly in both directions, while watching any open valves follow the motion of the crankshaft. If you feel slack or see a delay between motion of the crankshaft, then slowly loosen the adjuster bolt counterclockwise, until the freeplay ceases to be present. Alternately, you can unscrew the adjuster screw until it goes slack/loose, then turn it back down until you feel some tension/resistance. Lock the nut in place. Test again, turning the engine over about 90 degrees at a time and checking for any play/slop in the chain.
