Motorcycle Repair: HELP..I AM A NOVICE!, honda cbr600, motorcycle shop

Question
My 1988 Honda CBR600 which was running (spluttering in low revs)wont start after dismantling the carburetors and adjusting the pilot screws in a brave attempt to sort the spluttery revs out.I turned all four screws clockwise until they were tightish (even though i could have forced them more, then anticlockwise for 2 and a half turns. After putting everything back together, the spark plugs with the numbered 1-4 ht leads, the petrol on, switch on and key on it wont fire up using the choke on full with rest breaks in between further attempts to hear it running as previously experienced with this bike. I look forward to learning what I dont know yet...Thanks..Jay

Answer
At this point I think it would be a good idea to contact your local motorcycle shop.It certainly sounds like a carburetor problem.90 percent of the non running issues I encounter are carb related.Try this link for some insite on cleaning carbs.
