Motorcycle Repair: 96 FLSTS Oil Lines, harley manual, jp cycles

Question
I am having a problem with 96 Heritage springer blowing out the dipstick from the oil tank.  I just finished completely redoing the bike for a friend of mine.  The oil pump was replaced with a chrome unit from JP cycles.  I used the upper left opening on the cover for the inlet.  The outlet i used is on the bottom toward the front of the bike.   There are 3 other openings that are plugged and I am not sure I used the correct ones.  It appears to be a Sifton type pump.  I do not have the directions and I am not sure I have it plumbed correctly.  Also, I am not sure that the oil lines are plumbed correctly to and from the oil tank and oil filter (an aftermarket chrome unit mounted in front).  I have a harley manual but it is not very clear on the routing...and the oil pump is aftermarket and different anyway.  Also I haven't checked whether the breather is working correctly-and I know that may be a problem also....but, I want to make sure the oil system is properly installed first.  Any info would be appreciated- a complete schematic would be fantastic....
thasnks for your help,

Answer
Your best bet it to comtact JP cycles to find the plumbing on the pump. All pumps are not exactialy the same.
The oil should go from the tank, to the pump, to the return side of the pump, to the oil filter, to the tank. there should be 4 fittings on the tank, Lowest is the drain, next lowest is the feed, next is the return and next is the vent
Good luck and happy riding
