Motorcycle Repair: 2003 100th anniversary edition 883 Hugger, dyno jet kit, k n air filter

Question
I have the above mentioned bike and would like to change the rake a small amount to lengthen the look, how is this done and is it advisable. I ride the bike approx. 60 miles a day in summer to/from work on 2 lane highway.
I am also wanting to change the exhaust from the stock mufflers to something else, any suggestions? I would assume that I would need to install a K&N air filter & a jet kit to complete the change properly. Any thoughts on this, suggestions.
Advice would be much appreciated

Answer
You can change your rake very easily. the make 3 degree neck cups. SO all you have to do is replace the neck cups. Once you have that done you need to take a measurement so you know how long of forks you need.
On changing the exhaust and air filter that is not a problem either. Listen to other bikes and find one with the sound you like. Ask what they are running. That is the best way to find the exhaust you are looking for. You can get a high flow air filter kit for your bike.
To jet the carb, I would get a Dyno-jet kit. You should be able to install it yourself and it will give you more throttle responce and richen the bike up
Good luck and happy riding
