Motorcycle Repair: KAWASAKI NINJA ZXR6, kawasaki ninja, fuel stabilizer

Question
HI, I BOUGHT THIS BIKE 5 DAYS AGO BUT CAN`T RIDE IT B/COS EVERYTIME I SLOW DOWN THE ENGINE STALLS. THE MECANIC I`VE SEEN SAID IT COULD BE THE CARBURATOR BUT COULD NOT TELL ME WHAT COULD BE HAPPENING AND HE`S CHARGING ME £100. PLS ANY IDEAS, SUGGESTIONS . THANKS

Answer
Ola,

if the bike is running ok at higher speeds
then it could be the idle jets are
plugged in the carbs. Other parts of the
carb may need cleaning also.
Gas goes bad very quickly these days.
If you park the bike for long you
should add a fuel stabilizer.
Doing a tune up is the first step
in getting the bike sorted out.
Replace the spark plugs,
check the air filter, clean
the carbs, change oil,
add some fresh gas and then see
if it improves.
