QUESTION: Yes. When I had the stage one kit installed, it was remapped. I had strait pipe fishtails with baffles and it was good to go. I installed the same pipes without baffles and that's when the backfire problem started. I like the sound of the pipes without the baffles. Thanks, Mike

ANSWER: Without the baffles you are having a problem with back pressure ont he exhsust system. No back pressure means you will get some popping as well as probably a lean condition. If you are planning on leaving it that way, then you will probably have to get it remapped again

QUESTION: What is the best way to have the remapping done? Thanks much! Mike

Answer
There is no really best way, I think it all in the cost. There are several addon ways to remapp and some claim you can do it yourself. the problem is you need a way to check the o2 coming out the exhaust, so your best bet it to have it done at a shop which has the equipment to do it.
In my shop I dont add anything to the bike, I write a map for the bike and install it in the ECM.
