Motorcycle Repair: clutch bleeding, banjo fittings, suzuki intruder

Question
I understand you're a Harley tech, but I think this is a general enough question.  I'm an ex auto tech so I know my way around a wrench, but I seem to be having quite a hard time getting my clutch to bleed on my 2000 Suzuki Intruder 1400.  I rebuilt the slave cylinder so the system had almost no fluid in it when I refilled. I've tried tapping on the banjo fittings to loosen any air pockets, the old pump, pump, hold bleed, and tons and tons of pumping with the bike at different angles.  I can get tension in the clutch lever but its not actually disengaging the clutch.  Any tips or pointers??  Thank you for your time

Answer
Hi Josh,

I have had the SAME issue with intruders...NOT FUN!!
In any event, the way Iv'e found to work the best is to loosen the master cyl and move it so that the hole where the fluid enters the line is lower than the rest to the master cylinder. Once youve achieved that, all should be easy sailing from there...

Hope this helps!!
