Motorcycle Repair: White smoke coming from 1983 Honda Goldwing Interstate GL-1100, 1983 honda goldwing, goldwing interstate

I am trying to find what I need to do to find the problem with a 1983 Honda Goldwing Interstate Gl-1100 has white smoke coming from one exhauast pipe. We replaced the head gasket and it still smokes and runs rough.  Don't know if it is a cracked head or warped head .  What do you suggest that we do.  Thank you Terry Kay I am running out of ideas.

Hi Terry,

Perform a cylinder compression test, cooling system pressure test, and a cylinder leak-down test if necessary.

If the cylinder walls or a gasket has failed, air pressure from any of these tests should indicate the problem.

A leak-down test will help locate the source of the problem. The sounds of escaping air pressure locates the source.
