Motorcycle Repair: Intruder 1400 not starting after cleaning / oiling air filter, tank fuel, great shape

Question
hello, my 98 Intruder which is in great shape (only 17K miles), ride regularly (live in Vegas), with new plugs will not start after i cleaned and oiled the air filter, with the proper cleaner and oil.  The fuel lines are not pinched, and I did turn the tank fuel valve back on.  I got it to start twice, running about 20 seconds, then cuts out.
I appreciate any suggestions!

Answer
Hi Pete,

Only thing that comes to mind is too rich on the filter oil.

Have you inspected the spark plugs? They may have fouled since the oiling. Try cleaning and re-starting.
