Motorcycle Repair: head light and speedometer light malfunction., honda motorcycle shop, honda 599

Question
I have a Honda 599 '04.
I dropped the bike a month ago and took it to the Honda Motorcycle shop said that nothing was wrong with it exept the speedometer light was blinking off and on, now it is out.  Also, my head light just now does not work.  When i turned on the engine, normaly the light would go on but it didnt.  can it be that the light burned out, fuese problems, or battery?  maybe worse?

Answer
Hi Riko,

I suspect the instrument panel light is defective or blown as a result of the impact with the ground.

The light filament may have been broken by the fall, but remained in contact with the filament posts. This may cause the light to work intermittently.

There may be a loose connector, broken circuit board solder point, or other problem.

Ditto for the headlight.
