Motorcycle Repair: chain adjustment, air compresor, suzuki gsxr750

Question
HI:I have a new suzuki gsxr750 '05 20th anniversary ed. after cleaning my chain(by the owners manual) with kerosine and dried it with my air compresor and re lube it with a chain grease from a spray can, after riding the bike it makes a noise, like if the rollers are loose or something. I tried to adjust the chain but the noise doesnt go away. I was thinking to take it to the shop so they can adjust the chain and do the service on the chain... please advise

Answer
Hi Alex,

You're right. The Kerosene removed the chain's original lubrication.

Keep the chain well lubed and keep an eye on chain adjustment.

Have a local shop inspect the chain if you like.

Always replace chains and sprockets as a set. No exceptions. Same with clutch plates and springs.
