Motorcycle Repair: lowering, suspension kit, thanks in advance

hi mike, i am thinking about one inch shorter fork springs and shocks on my 98 super glide---harley's "profile" suspension kit comes with a different jiffy stand---do you think i really need to mess with a different stand just to lower the bike a lousy inch?  thanks in advance

What the stand does for you is keep the bike from standing to straight up. It makes the bike lean so it doent fall over. You can lower the bike and see how it does without changing the stand and then change it later if you wish.
