Motorcycle Repair: Two cycle bogging, oil fuel mixture, air fuel mixture

Question
My small displacement two cycle is rebuilt with all new componants.  It was running beautifully but suddenly it now bogs down on acceleration.  It starts well and idles well and runs well at full fuel setting but a gentle or average acceleration will bog or even kill the engine.  I have changed the carb settings as much as I know how.  Could the fuel be two rich in oil?  What other solutions?  It is a "66 Vespa

Answer
Hi Ron,

I suspect the air-fuel mixture or oil-fuel mixture is too rich. Read the spark plugs to learn more. Clean or replace accordingly. Visit "www.ngk.com" to learn about reading the plugs.

Check the condition of the air cleaner. Clean or replace accordingly.

Measure compression and perform a leak-down test if necessary.
