Motorcycle Repair: 05 FXDWG Engine Light, fxdwg, big bore kit

I just picked up my new 05 FXDWG Friday. I had the stage 2 big bore kit installed at the dealer along with V&H staggered Bigshots. The jets are a 45 and 175. Put about 200 miles on it Saturday and it ran fine on the road but sometimes at a light it would sputter and die. Other times it would idle fine. The engine light came on once and stayed on till I shut it off for awhile. Has not come on since. How do I read the codes and is there a code guide that I can buy to help with any troubleshooting in the future? I don't want to take it back to the dealer for any little thing. There is no way for you to read the codes. The code reader that harley uses are a dealer only item. They will not sell them to the public. You can get a aftermarket one, but the cost is prohitive to you. They cost over 500.00. You are going to have to take it in and have the dealer check it.
