Motorcycle Repair: 1st gear?, gsx r 600, measuremants

ok we just started working on this VERY used 2000 GSX_R_600 and we got the chain on changed the oil and it starts but it seems not to be going in to 1st gear and neutral for that matter? i need help figuring out the problem and testing anyways to fix it thank you.

Hi Danny,

You'll need to tear down, inspect, and measure parts for wear. Some parts may display obvious wear, damages, or defects. Otherwise, make necessary measuremants and replace parts accordingly.

Be sure to replace the drive chain and both sprockets as a set. Otherwise, the old parts will quickly damage and wear out the new parts.
