Motorcycle Repair: 1990 Sportster clutch?, clutch cable, sportster

    I have a 1990 sportster. On saturday I started it up and moved it in my garage. Everything was fine. On tuesday I went to push the bike and it would not move when the clutch was depressed. It will move in neutral. I replaced the clutch cable about 6 mos ago. When I took off the clutch cap, it looked like everything was moving OK, but you can't really see without taking off the primary. When the primary is off you can't use the clutch. Any ideas of how to trouble shoot this?

Since it is winter, not sure where you live, when the bike is cold it is tough to have the bike in gear and push it. Start the bike and let it warm up. then try putting it in gear and riding it a few feet. Should be ok. If not let me know what happens.
