Motorcycle Repair: Gas Gum up in Carbs on Honda 99 CBR F3, walden books, decent job

I have the bike obvioulsy but never learned how to work on it. Is there a particular book that might help me learning this besides paying several hundred dollars to bring to a shop.

And if I had to bring it in, The average cost of something like the above subject cost?

Hi Bryce.
 There are several books to refer to.  Check a Borders or Walden Books for books on general carb repair for motorcycles.  Also get the repair manual for your bike.

 As far as the cost for cleaning the carbs, that will end up running somewhere around 100 dollars for a decent job.

But you could do it yourself if you are reasonably mechanically inclined and have the books.
