Motorcycle Repair: draing gas tank, gas tank, gallon gas

Hello Chris,

How do I drain all the gas out of the tank in order to remove it?  I have a 1982 Yamaha 650cc.

Hi Sam.
 Just use a syphon hose.  The type with the squeeze bulb is good enough.  Slip it donwn to the lowest corner of the tank and make sure that you have a 5 Gallon gas can for the fuel.  When it stops draining, then make sure the hose is all the way into the lowest point and pump the rest out manually.
