Answer
Hi there, first I have a couple questions for you: why did you have to bleed the brakes? Was there a brake fluid leak or have you replaced any brake lines, calipers, master cylinder? And are the rear brakes drum or disc? On drum brakes, if the new shoes are installed properly and also adjusted after the installation with the wheels off the ground and the tires on, there shouldn't be any problems. On rear disc brakes, the caliper pistons should be "screwed" in with a tool because the emergency brake mechanism prevents the pistons from being pressed in like the front ones. If everything else checks out good and the rear brakes fail partially or totally, it's because the master cylinder's chamber that operates them, (the rear ones), had failed and very rarely a failed proportion valve.
