Nissan Repair: vent on transmmision, vent tube, transmmision

found in one of your questions that vent tube is what i found lying on top of starter. starter was just replaced in yard three days ago vent is pumping trans fluid out. could this be from not being hooked up in the air  on filter housing?

Hi Tom -

The vent tube should not be over the starter. Need to relocate it against the transmission.

Also, if it is spewing oil out, the trans is probably over filled. Remove some oil to recommended levels and you should be good to go.
