Toyota Repair: Previa 1992 Door Lock, toyota dealer, guarantees

Question
I have a 92 Previa with electric door locks.  The driver side door lock stopped working, and the door is locked shut. It won't unlock with the inside manual flip square, nor with the inside electric door lock rectangular accuator - though this accuator does lock/unlock all other doors, nor with the key.   With the key, I can lock all doors from the drivers side, and I can unlock all doors with the key - except the drivers door.  The little flip square inside that manually locks & unlocks the drivers door only half 'opens'.  The drivers door has controls for electric door locks, windows, outside mirrors.

I cannot see how to get into the door panel to see what has happened.  The toyota dealer says that they will have to pry the panel off, with no guarantees on what they break.

Can you help?

Answer
It sounds like a door lock control rod came off or the lock assembly needs to be replaced, in either case the door panel has to be removed, I agree with the toyota dealer, the door panel may be damaged in the process of removing it, there is no other option.
