Nissan Repair: 2003 nissan exterra dash/ running lights out, nissan exterra, fuse puller

Question
dash lights and running lights do not turn on when switch to headligh turned on and does not come on when brighteness wheel is turned all the way up. Help can't drive at night because I can't see how fast I'm going!!

Hi Karen -

have you checked you fuses? Located under dash driver's side. I think it should be labeled "PANEL", or "INSTR". Pull it out with a small plier, or the special fuse puller tool that normally is supplied in the fuse box. If the metal bridge in the fuse is broken, then replace it.
Have you installed a CD player or stereo recently? Sometimes the connection is to the fuse block and the circuit cannot handle the extra load.
