Nissan Repair: 2001 maxima brake light, test light, chk

Question
I have an 01 maxima and 2 weeks ago the passenger brake light blew out. I replaced it and it blew out again. This is the only issue I have seen. All other electrical seems working. I have chk'd all fuses and all are good. Inspection of the wireing looks good. no frayed wireing, grounds are tight and no broken wire.
Any ideas?

Thanks
Ron P.

Answer
Ron,

You will need to pull the bulb and use a test light or meter and check what is going on at the socket.  If the wires are not messed up the socket is the usual place where things go bad.  The brake pedal switch is just a wire that feeds to all of the brake lights for ground.  It would mess all brake lights up if that failed.
