Nissan Repair: Programming keys on Nissan patrol, terrano, xtrail, nissan cars, nissan service

QUESTION: We have several Nissan cars (Patrol, Terrano ll, Xtrail) in our company office in Ethiopia. For some of the cars the keys have been lost and if the second key is lost the cars are useless. We purchased keys and brought them from Europe in order to program them locally.
Unfortunately the local Nissan dealer is not able to duplicate keys with its Nissan Consult ll device. Does somebody have a proper description of the programming procedure for Nats 2, 4 and 5?

ANSWER: Christian,

You will need the Consult II or a locksmith to program the keys since there is no provision to do it without a computer.  The Consult II has all the information resident in their program.

QUESTION: we tried with the Nissan service and Consult 2 but it did not worked. Can you tell me the exact procedure with Consult 2 or AD100 (Locksmith device)?

nissan-techinfo.com is where you get all the information.  Check out the following link.  Forgot what your year was on the vehicle.  the Consult II is for 2006 and back and the Consult III is for newer vehicles.  Surf around the site and see the different offerings.
