Nissan Repair: 2007 nissan murano not starting, nissan murano, nissan

Question
My Nissan Murano is not starting. I shut it off while I was getting gas, then I went to turn it on it wouldn't go on. My lights go on, and my horn works, so it's not the battery. I even tried jump starting it. When you turn the ignition, it makes a clicking/ticking noise.

Answer
Hi Gabriel -

Most likely it is your starter, assuming that the battery is strong, and terminals tight and clean.

Try getting a hammer or similar object, and firmly tap the side of the starter. Sometimes it will start up because that frees the carbon build up that causes the starter to fail. In any case, the starter needs to be replaced. Doing this will just get you to where you gotta go, to avoid towing fees.

Hope this helps -
