Nissan Repair: 2000 NISSAN ALTIMA, wipers wont turn on, amp fuse, nissan altima

Question
I've checked the 20 amp fuse which is good, I've checked the plug into the motor, and it recieves a current, before I purchase a new wiper motor, is there anything else I need to check or rule out?

Answer
Hi Aaron -

Before you rule out the motor, try checking the circuit board for the wiper motor assembly. This assembly comes in 2 parts, the electrical and the motor itself. The motor rarely gives out, so maybe it is just the board. All this is located in the wiper motor assembly.

There is also a cam delay for the wipers (this is why the wipers always stop in the parked position at the bottom of your windshield even if you turn the switch off when the wiper is at the top). Perhaps that has misaligned or stuck in the parked spot. This could also be why there is current and no action.

Hope this helps -
