i have a 2003 Nissan altima 3.5 se and i can go in reverse and then put in drive but when i get to where it has to shift at about 4th gear it wont shift and it just revs up like it is in neutral. can you please help

Check to see if the overdrive switch is flashing and make sure the transmission is not locked into second gear.  If so there is a problem the computer has stored.  If you really have first through third and fourth gear is not working check to see that the overdrive button is not off.  If it is correct and you have no fourth have the transmission codes checked by someone with a code reader like Cottman or a Nissan shop or dealer.  Either the fourth gear servo is not working or the computer is not getting correct signals from the temperature sensor or the vacuum switch.
