vehicle clatters like bad gas, then when u accelerate further it bogs and starts bucking but will cruise at high speeds fine only when accelerating heavily is there a prob there are no code are engine light illuminating thaks

Sounds like the knock sensor is defective and that is causing the car to clatter.  If you are using good gas that is probably what is going on.  Otherwise, the variable valve timing could also cause the bog.  If it is a 2006 it is under warranty so give the shop the two ideas as to the problem.  Oh, I would not think the mass airflow sensor could be messing up but that is a remote possibility.  You have the CVT transmission, and if it is not in sync with the engine it could overload the engine causing the pinging and bucking...  These are only thoughts since I cannot see the vehicle in person.
