Nissan Repair: My 1987 Nissan Maxima V6 3.5L, nissan maxima, loose chain

OK, My Nissan Maxima 1987 V6 3.5L AT make a lot of noise when i am going to start it .This sound like loose chain and some time all the light of panel control is ON  for more of 10 minute .Well my car lose a lot of power.What i need to do for make more strong my Nissan maxima 1987 V6 3.5L .i want to have my car for 10 years more but i want to make it strong.Do I need to change the engine ?

Are you sure your engine is not a 3.0 if it is an 87?  If the chain or belt let loose it is much cheaper to go with a used engine and just do a swap.  Call around to the wrecking yards and see what is available.  If your engine jumped timing you have bent valves and suspect pistons so go with a used engine as it is much cheaper and easier to swap out than rebuilding yours.
