Nissan Repair: 1996 Maxima Starting problem, neutral safety switch, fuel pump relay

I have a 1996 maxima it runs like a top but does not like to start this morning got up and tried to start it, it would not start, turns over like a champ and tries to start but then motor kinda shakes and dies, tried it about 10 times finally started so I let run for a few minutes then i killed it to see if it would restart and it would not so I came back about 8 hours later and it starts but I am scared to take it cause it might leave me stranded causes it starts ok sometimes then others not so ok weather does not seem to make much a difference neither thanks or the help if you can

Some things to check are the fuel pump relay or the cold start sensor on the engine.  These would cause it not to start.  Also, the neutral safety switch would cause it to crank and not start.  Wire around the switch to confirm if it is the neutral safety switch.
