Nissan Repair: 2000 Frontier running hot, radiator cap, bakc

Question
I have a 2000 frontier that i have replace the termostat and the truck is still running hot. i opened the radiator and don't see any water flowing even after the engine has come up to operating temperture? could it be the radiator or the water pump and how do I check both?

Answer
Mike,

You probably have air trapped in the system.  Check the manual for the location of the bleed screws.  Ususlly there is one at the high point on the engine where the coolant flows and another bakc by the heater hoses.  If there is no trapped air then check the radiator cap to see if it is defective.  After all, it is six years old...
