Nissan Repair: Nissan Sunny FB14 oil light comes on and off, gauge type, reply thanks

I've got a 98 model Nissan FB14 1500cc auto-transmission and have noticed that the engine oil indicator comes up sometimes and goes off. I've also noticed that it sometimes comes on when i brake and goes off while accellerating, but not always. Engine oil is of correct level and I've also got an oil leak fixed, but this problem was there even before that oil leak fix. The oil leak was coming from a worn out oil seal, which has been replaced, but this problem still appears. There are no more leaks now. Just in case it helps, I've also got the injectors cleaned and radiator flushed along with the same oil repair. Would be grateful for a quick reply. Thanks!

There are two things you can do here.  The first is take the sending unit off the engine and clean it out with aerosol carburetor cleaner and reinstall it and see if some dirt plugged it up and if that does not work replace with a new part.  Since it is only an oil light and not a gauge type sender the cleaning process works most of the time.  If not you will have to change it.
