Nissan Repair: clutch slipping, nissan maxima se, clutch pedal

Question
I have a 1990 nissan maxima SE 5-spd manual. My clutch tends to slip when my clutch pedal gets very tight. I have replaced both the clutch master and slave cylinder. The clutch is fairly new and i think i have air in the clutch hydralic line because everytime i bleed it the clutch pedal is not tight and the clutch does not slip for while until i drive and i guess air gets in somehow. Also, i loss fluid from the master cylinder resevior periodacly and see no leaks of any type. Any suggestions or idea? Thanks

Answer
Dan,

Something has to be leaking for you to lose fluid.  I would think that the master is leaking since it is up on top and the fluid can be soaked into the floor covering.  If the slave was leaking you would notice it on the ground.  Look up under the dash and put your hand on the pushrod and see if that is where it is going.  And, that would also explain the clutch issue.
