Nissan Repair: 95 Nissan Maxima, valve seals, nissan maxima

Question
My maxima recently rolled over 150k, for a couple of months there has been some valve noise (ticking) & recently after I came off of the freeway into town, I noticed that the exaust was dumping blue smoke. A couple of friends suggested that this may be the valve seals, since the car hasn't been smoking since the last trip I took it on. (driving for 2 hours @80 mph) Also, the car has been running a little rough at idle, I ran some over the counter injector cleaner through it & have been putting premium in. This seems to have helped a little, but it's still not great. Any help you could offer is much appreciated, THANK YOU!

Answer
Lance,

Yes, the valve seals are probably worn.  But, for the blue smoke coming off the highway would be that the return holes for the oil to get back down to the pan are probably blocked.  I would pull the valve covers off and see if there is sludge blocking the return holes.  Some folks use Risoline to flush the engine and then change the oil to 5W30 Mobil 1 and see if this solves the problem.
