Nissan Repair: 1993 pathfinder, pathfinder 4x4, transmission shop

Question
I have a 1993 pathfinder 4x4 automatic the reverse does not work.I was told to replace  the transmision but still the same problem.What do you think the problem is? My brother wants me to replace the TC(transmision computer)and I am not sure if this is going to fix the problem.I spend over $1900.00 and no fix.

Yes, the computer that controls the transmission is defective or the solenoid that controls reverse.  Remember that this transmission is controlled via a computer and with solenoids that run the various gears.  If the transmission shop did the job and it does not work in reverse they would be doing the job.  If you did a swap I would go back and get the computer from the other transmission.
