Nissan Repair: 93 nissan 240sx se ignition problems, power transitor, nissan 240sx

Question
The car I just purchased will not start at all.The problems are the fuel pump will not cut on but if I jump the relay it does there is no spark to the igniton at all. and the front headlights will not pop up but all the running lights come on.I have checked just about everything.Anyways, the guy who owned the car before me has replaced to to try and fix the problem the distibutor cap and rotor the power transistor/ignition module he has tried a used one first then bought a brand new one and then I got the car and replaced the ignition coil and that didn't work so then I got technical got a factory manual off the web and have checked the resistor/condensor with a multimeter and it tested good at 2.206 then I checked for power and grounds to the resitor power transitor and igniton coil and everything was good.So then I thougt my relays might be bad so I checked the egi pump/fuel pump relay and it is getting two powers and one ground while th 4th is dead then I turned the screw on the back of the ecu to self diagnostic mode and looked for the light to blink but nothing happend so then I cheked for power and grounds to the egi/ecu relay and the results are that I am getting two powers and one ground but,the top right terminal is getting 11.78 volts of possitive and .545 volts of ground as well as the terminal below it and the bottom left terminal is getting 10.88 volts of ground and 1.454 volts of possitive while the fourth/top right is dead.I checked for powers and grounds to this realy with a multimeter set on vdc with one probe to the possitve and the other to the terminal and the same to the negative post.I also checked these powers and grounds with a test light with the clip connected to the nagative battery post and got the same results 2 possitves and one negative. The I checked for continuity on the terminals from the negative battery post and I got a short beep from the two possitves and a contionus beep from the negative. My battery voltage from post was 12.31 volts.I also checked the relay switch itself and could not find continuity between any of the terminals. Also I checked for powers and grounds coming out of the ecu harness and I am getting 9 powers and like 8 or nine grounds.I looked at the crankshaft possition sensor and it looks like it is new but I not sure cause the guy I bought the car off didnt say.Do you have any Idea? Please help.I will appreciate it and I think it is very nice of you for helping us beginer techs out.

Answer
Sherman,

It sounds like the fuse links at the positive battery terminal need to be looked at.  If these are good check the car for an aftermarket alarm that is on the blink.  Remove the aftermarket alarm from the main loom that feeds the ignition and you should be fine.  Otherwise, the readings you are getting should be correct.  Lastly, if the battery was installed backwards before all this happened the ECM would be blown and would require replacement.
