Nissan Repair: headlights bulbs, 2003 nissan altima, nissan altima

my low beam on the driver side blew out twice. the mechanic at midas said that the positive charge is bad, if i installed another buld withn days it will blow out like the rest. Another mechanic said that maybe the low beams wire is grounded. what might you say of this problem. 2003 nissan altima 2.5sl... p.s nissan said there was onlt a recall for harnesting the wires not for grounded wires.

It could be the ground wire up at the headlight harness causing extra resistance and that would cause the bulb to blow.  Other than that touching the bulb with bare fingers can cause the bulb to burn out quickly.  The oil from their skin causes the bulb to burn out so they have to use gloves or a oil free rag to install the bulb.
