Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1998 Buick LeSaber, batterry, logical approach

Question
We have a 1998 Buick LeSaber and have had it do dealer numerous times but their response has been the computer doesn't show anything. The problem is all lights, dash board, running lights will flash intermittingly. You will here a clicking noise from the dash. IT happens very randomingly but have noticed it happens more often when someone is in the passwnger seat. Any ideas would be appreciated.

thanks..

Answer
hi frank, yes they are right nothing in computer no prob with the car,lol  sometimes it takes a technician not a computer to find a problem.if you know where the clicking noise is this is going to be a relay.and it,s location will be where you hear the noise.this relay could be bad. but also a ground wire could be loose maybe under the dash maybe under the hood.normally on the batterry.as this is usually the most likely to get disturbed such as replaceing batt.another possibility the plug where the headlight switch is could be loose.check very closely where the pass engers feet would be right above is where manufactures like to hide relays and connections etc.the dealer you are going to does not want to mess with this prob as it prob has no warranty and could involve some time.if you can,t find this prob maybe a diff dealer or a reputable independant.all it will take is a logical approach, and a tech who actually believes you have better things to do besides getting your car checked out.lol good luck, please vote for me billymac
