Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 89 Buick LeSabre 3.8L V6 wont crank, buick lesabre, screw driver

Question
I am having problems getting this '89 Buick to crank. It sat up for about a year and I determined that it is getting gas but not firing when I pull a plug wire loose and try to allow the fire to jump using a screw driver. It has no distributor as I knew them but the rectangular box with the coil and module in it. It has fresh gas in the tank but may be mixed with a little of the old. Any ideas on what and how to check what my problem may be. The car is in pretty good shape otherwise and is a freebie if I can get it running.

Answer
Could possibly end up needing a new module, but I would get hold of a manual...even a Motors, or Mitchell, and do some troubleshooting, and testing. Make sure the coil pack is getting power. Check the fuses, also.
You can read manuals in the public library...refference section.
