Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Olds Aroura 97 over heating, hose clamps, head gasket

Question
I am looking for coolent air pocket bleeders for the olds V8 motor. Engine over heats going up steep grades. pump was replaced last month. ?

Answer
Hi Joe,
Any bleeders will be at the highest point of the cooling system.
Other possible problems you may have are the fan not working properly, The transmission slipping, a head gasket blown or about to blow. Cracked head a remote possibility. A thermostat not opening all the way, and a water pump not circulating, which could be from a plugged radiator
Could also be just trapped air. Loosening hose clamps and cracking the hoses loose can work, but not while the engine is hot.
