Plymouth Repair: Plymouth Sundance Repair, plymouth sundance, starter solenoid

Question
1993 Plymouth Sundance has been siting for a long time. It has 125,250 miles. Added gas in it and put new battery. Still wouldn't crank. Put gas in carburetor, still won't crank. Help!!

Answer
Hi

You need to check to see if there is 12 v to the starter solenoid.  The solenoid for a 3.0 liter is on the front lower of the engine by the motor mount to rad support area and the 2.2 is behind the motor under the intake manifold.  The star terminal is the smaller of the two. Use a test light to ground and see if it lights up when you crank.  Try cranking in neutral.
