Plymouth Repair: Im having trouble with my 97 chevy van and I seen you know about GMC trannys..PLEASE HELP, chevy van, next morning

Hi. I'm having a trouble with my 1997 1500 chevy van. Every thing was fine the day before, but the next morning go to pull out my drive way to go to work and... no reverse! The van engages into drive fine. It's like reverse doesn't even try to engage. No noise, no nothing. I pushed it out of the drive way, and took it for a spin. The van shifts very rough and reved high... like it doesn't want to shift, but it does shift in the high RPM range.. What could cause such an issue. Any advise would be wecomed and very needed.

this is a reverse band or a bad shift valve bring it to a tranny shop they will do a diagnostiac test on the tranny free of charge if it is a bad tranny valve it would be 200 to repair and replace the reverse band 250 please rate my serivice pete
