Pontiac Repair: 2001 pontiak aztek, rear differential, wire harness

last night driving home our azteks awd is disabled light came on. why would this happen?

Hi Tiffany:
I'll assume that you have no anti lock system light on. If just the AWD off light is on it's one of 2 things either the control valve back in the rear differential is bad or the pass thru wire harness from inside the truck back to the rear differentiual is corroded up and full of water. one or the other is the issue here. It's quite a common issue with those more so the Valve does bad then anything else. Good Luck :-}
