Pontiac Repair: 92 Firebird 3.1, fuel gauge, throttlebody

Question
I have a 92 Firebird 3.1 .It was Running Badly especially after warm up .They replaced the Fuel Pump and the Filter gave it a complete tune up and it started and i got it home .after sitting for awhile i tried to start it it wouldnt start .I made sure it had fuel .still no start By spraying ether into the throttlebody i could get it to run .I checked the Fuel lines near the front left shock in the engine compartment and Loosened one ,then the other and tried to crank the engine No fuel came out .Im not sure if there is a regulator between the filter and that point or a sensor or something .Whre would i check the fuel pump pressure ,,and is the possibly another filter under the firewall ??? Im at a total loss here .CVould it be that the new pump is just Bad ?

Answer
Hey Troy:

Well ther is only 1 fule filter. If you don't have nay fuel pressure then it will not run. You may have a new pump that went bad.... You could have an issue with a bad ground wire going to the fuel pump. back near the tank is a big connector that has 4 wires on it 2 black and a purple and a grey wire. the grey wire is the power feed to the pump check that with a 12 Volt test light at key on and when cranking. you should have power for 1-2 seconds at key on and whil cranking the car. Check the ground. Ther are 2 black wires you should have ground on both. The bigger gauge black wire is for the fuel pump the smaller one is for the fuel gauge. Make sure you are checking the body side of the connector not the tank side. If you have a bad ground or no power you have to trace the wiring back to the point where you are looing it. Good luck :)
