Pontiac Repair: radiator fluid o drivers floor board, radiator fluid, pontiac grand prix

I drive a 2001 Pontiac grand Prix SE, 3.1.On my way home tonight I noticed a real strong smell of antifreeze in the car.  Then I noticed antifreeze at my feet.  I believe it is the heater core but then my car shut off 3 times.  Always starts right back up.  Can these 2 problems be related and is the heater core something hard to replace.

Yes it's more than likly a heater core. And they are not very easy to change on that car at all. It a job for a professinal. As for the stalling... If yoy lost enough antifreeze and the engine ran really really hot then yes it's possible that it stalled because of that. That would be the only thing that the 2 would have in common. good luck :)
