Pontiac Repair: 2001 Grandam turn signal lever, turn signal switch, pontiac dealer

Question
Sometime, I push down  the lever for a left turn and the light doesn't flash nor does the turn arrow come on. I had someone stand outside the car and they advised the light wasn't solid or flashing. Is it difficult to change this turn signal without removing the steering wheel or is this a factory recall.
Thanks,
Mike

Answer
Hi
The recall for your year model car (Please check with your local Pontiac dealer to see if your vehicle falls under the recall VIN breakpoints) was for the flasher module, which is the button you push for the Hazards above the radio.
If it does need the Turn Signal Switch, you should take it to a professional repair facility, as it will involve removing the steerring wheel air bag (SIR).
Hope this helps.
Just advise from experience.
Good Luck
