Pontiac Repair: Brake Repair, flat blade, liquid wrench

Question
I'm changing my own brakes for the 1st time with some help from my uncle, but we're having a hard time getting the callipers off, he's afraid if he forces it that it will break something.  is there a trick to getting it off so that we then can romove the rotor? it's a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT

Answer
First thing to do is to use a small prybar or a flat blade screwdriver to pry between the opening in the top of the caliper and the rotor to compress the caliper some and relieve pressure. The next piece of advice is to use liquid wrench on the bolts this will help to remove them and don't just push or pull on the wrench, try hitting it to "shock" the bolt free. Hope this is a little help and good luck :)
