RV Repair: Fenwal Water Heater

Hi,

We purchased a 1984 Winnebago Chieftain 30' and the water heater in it is broken from freezing and sprays water everywhere, so of course it will need replaced. What water heater can I purchase as a replacement? It is a 6 gal. gas with auto start. The sticker says Fenwal concerning the ignitor. Thank you in advance.

Two options are Atwood and surban. I would pull it out and look at it. Atwood fits the hole almost side ways and surban is long and will fir a smaller hole be sure to check the rough hole opening to make sure the new one will fit If you send me the old model number I will try to get a current model # that will fit that hole
